Nanded district is located in the eastern part of Marathwada, which belongs to Aurangabad division of Maharashtra. The district is bordered by Nizamabad, Medak and Adilabad districts of Andhra Pradesh to the east, Bidar district of Karnataka to the south, Parbhani and Latur districts of Marathwada to the west and Yavatmal district of Vidarbha in Maharashtra to the north. The language, manners and overall behavior of the residents of Nanded show influences from Telangana, Karnataka and Vidarbha.
