Latur is a district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the 16th largest city in Maharashtra, serving as the district headquarters. The district is a part of Marathwada in Maharashtra, with Nanded district to the northeast, and the state of Karnataka to the east and southeast. Osmanabad district on the south-west; Beed District on the west; and Parbhani district on the northwest.
