Naigaon Sanctuary

Naigaon Sanctuary, famous for peacocks, the national bird of India, is located in Patoda taluk of Beed district.

The forest of Mayur Sanctuary of Naigaon falls into subtropical dry deciduous and thorny forest types. The Regional Forest Department has planted various trees in this area on an area of ​​approximately 1200 hectares. Along with peacock, wild animals such as deer, wolf, jackal, wild cat, antelope, rabbit exist in this sanctuary. More than 100 species of birds are found here.

The headquarters of Naigaon Sanctuary is at Beed and the area of ​​this sanctuary is 20 km from Beed on Beed-Patoda-Ahmednagar road. There are two Rest Houses of Construction Department at Naigaon. His reservation was in the office of the Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Beed. Apart from this, although other accommodation facilities are not available here, since Beed city is nearby, private accommodation facilities are widely available.
